CREATOR SUMMITS
I’ve worked in multiple creator summits and found them to be one of the coolest things to look forward to when working on the Overwatch community team. These are impactful activations for our major initiatives where we want to rally our content creators and influencers around the world. Each of them has been different and has had to adapt to things like the pandemic and the changing shape of live service games. While these activations were led by the rest of my team, I provided critical support throughout the course of the event. My responsibilities include:
- Presentation support including gathering gameplay and graphic assets.
- Event operation support and reception.
- On-site studio tours.
I consider these summits sort of a family reunion with all of our best content creators and aside from getting them informed on new content to be ready for, they are also a great chance for both them and our development team, a chance to relax and celebrate the game we all enjoy.
BLIZZCON 2023
Attending BlizzCon is amazing experience, but there is something special working at a BlizzCon. For BlizzCon 2023, I help with operating our influencer demo stations throughout the event. This BlizzCon, we announced the new hero at the time would be playable during the entire weekend of the event, which was never done before. This required us to provide live streaming for the game throughout the weekend and maintaining a steady schedule of content creators on Overwatch 2.
In addition, the station had to be supported for a high-level featured event where the K-POP group LE SSERAFIM played Overwatch 2 alongside many of our top content creators. This was a fun and exciting experience to be a part of.
Prior to the event, I also helped with additional social graphic support which was used to announce our events at BlizzCon.
